"Stuff"
Hola!! I am so sorry that I have not been keeping in touch. In this post I will try and write all the things that happened while I have not been blogging. I will now write about let’s just say, “stuff”.
It turns out there are actually 2 gym teachers (I have no idea what their names are!). One is into it and is super chatty and has lots of energy (not as much as Ariadna or Carlotta but still a lot!). This gym teacher is the new one I did not talk about before. I already talked about the other one in a different blogpost. (see here) There is a music teacher named Nieves (snows) and by now she knows that I play piano and Charlotte plays flute and piano. She like a warm up song that is native American or African, I don’t know. It goes, Siahamba coocoñecuecos (SEE-U-HOMBU-COO-CONYE-COOE-COS.) (I hope that was helpful.) (Charlotte knows it from Cassingham Choir so Lin, if you know this, please comment)
There are lots of kids in my class including a few I will name. There is a girl name Leire (but everyone pronounces her name wrong, it actually sounds like LAY-DAY). She is nice but hates being it when we play tag. She has lots of energy and she talks to me in Spanish a lot but she also speaks some English. There is a boy called Alvaro, he gives me hugs every day because in gym class, I got the best sports player out because he was on the other team. (He also says hi to me every day!). (Alvaro, not the other boy). Alvaro used to sit behind me but then he switched seats with a girl called Maria Joyas. (There are 3 Marias so we called them by their first names and their last names) (there is Maria Joyas, Maria Pretel, and Maria something. (I do not know her last name)). The best sports players are named Nico, Dani (Danny), and Pablo P. (There are 2 Pablos: Pablo Vaca, and Pablo something. (I do not know his last name either)). Vaca means Cow in Spanish. (Nico is the one I got out in gym and that is why Alvaro hugs me! :)
The English teacher at school is named Monika (Monica), and just to tell people in my class, we are planning pen pals with Ms. Noteman's Class! My class here with Ms. Noteman's class in Bexley! I am so excited! Monika is the nicest teacher in the school because she is the least strict besides the French teacher. The French teacher is name Veronica. She is nice and I think it is funny that when I come back to Bexley I will know Spanish and a little bit of French! In her class I went up to the front and had to read a short French script where I said, “Je’ m appelle Paul, Je cinq ans," and some more. Our Spanish teacher is named Eva (not our cousin Eva, a different one). All we know about her is that she is forty-seven and her mom is ninety. She is pretty strict.
There is not a playground, just a small basketball quart and a blacktop. I play tag usually. Oh! And a couple of days ago, kid/cousin Eva told me that some of the kids in the class like me (AS A FRIEND!!). Oh also almost every boy in the class confessed to kid Eva that they have a crush on her. And I have seen that the boys who have not confessed flirt with her. I won’t name the boys for kid Eva’s sake.
Oh just wondering, who do you think is writing this? Write your answer in the comments!
My normal teacher here, Antonio, had surgery on his arm so we have a sub for 2 months. We have not met her yet, she comes next week. Right now different teachers come in each hour. We have been getting some homework recently, but school is mainly fine. Also, Charlotte is now taking a rhythmic gymnastics class. Oh! I forget if I wrote about Sufi the worker at New Little Italy! (a pizza/pasta shop where we eat more than once a week). He was also our camp counselor. He taught Eva and I a cool dance. (By the way, I am going to refer to kid Eva as Eva and Teacher Eva as Teacher Eva. Ok?) ok. Sufi is really nice. He has curly hair and has his ear pierced. He has his hair half combed over and one time wore a flamenco apron. He works really hard at New Little Italy because the other waitress is pregnant and moves really slow. Besides being a waiter, I am pretty sure Sufi makes some of the pizza. He moves as fast as a rocket ship. Luckily men can’t get pregnant so he won’t slow down. Also New Little Italy’s orange juice tastes fresh squeezed but only a couple days ago Eva told me that they poured it out of a bottle. At some other restaurants their orange juice tastes like tang. Or that is what my dad said. What is tang? Please answer in the comments.
Oh! You know the sea glass post? Where she said we have over 300 pieces? (see here) Well, now we have over 600!!!!! I am also making sea glass with salt water in a bottle. I found a pink piece of glass and a huge dark blue one. I am turning those into sea glass. I hope this blog post informed you enough!! Please write your questions as comments below.
Cyrus, How is your sea glass doing? It will take a long time, I think. I have never seen a piece or even found a piece of sea glass. Hope you bring a pretty piece home with you next year.
ReplyDeleteDo you understand your teacher's Spanish better or your classmates?
How long is your school day?
Enjoy reading about your days. Love, Tante Louise
Thanks for the comment! I understand both teacher and classmates equally.
ReplyDeleteI will bring you home a pretty piece of sea glass. Maybe a yellow. Yellow pieces are rare.
My school teacher is probably 5 hours or something. My teacher Antonio has
surgery so we don't have him. But also our sortove fill in teacher, (not substitute, other thing)
who is named Mercedes, (mer-sed-es) is now gone to so tomorrow I will have a totally new teacher. I miss you lots!
Love, Cyrus
