El Castillo de San Miguel. The day we tried to go it was closed, so we have not actually been inside yet, but the old part of the city surrounding it is lovely

Firework show on the last night of La Feria week. People kept telling us that this would be the best fireworks show we had ever seen. We were skeptical but it turned out to be true. 

A recurring scene, pretty much every day

Hot run. Haven't gone as often as I'd like, but we are MUCH more active here than at home given that we have no car. Also it is too hot for me to want to run most days.

With Alicia, their Spanish teacher. Alicia is moving to Ireland next week, so they are switching to someone new on Monday. We've really liked working with her so fingers crossed that we also like the new person. Piers and I are taking a 2-week break from language school and will restart ourselves when the kids enter (regular) school in mid-Sept.
