Getting started...

[We are getting settled here in Almuñecar. So far so good! We're going to blog some of our experiences right here. Cyrus  is getting us started with some reflections on our travels to Portugal and then Switzerland before we arrived in Spain. Our wifi is still not set up, so posts will be spotty for the next week. --Piers]

Our first part of this adventure is when we were on the plane to Newark, New Jersey. When we were there, we saw my great aunt Louise or as we call her, Tante Louise. Tante Louise is my dad’s, Moms, sister. Tante Louise has 3 cats, and her daughter, Lynn, who lives with her has 3. But at the time we visited, Lynn had a broken foot so Tante Louise had to take care of 6 cats! The cats are Martha Ann, who Tante Louise found at the pet store [editors note: actually at a cat shelter]. The pet store owner you see, thought that Tante Louise should get Martha Ann. And so, the pet store owner kept walking up to Tante Louise and saying, “you should get Martha Ann!” “She looks perfect for you!” the pet store owner was really focused on that idea and Martha Ann liked Tante Louise. The other cats they own are, Onix, Sugar Plum, Ernie, Breezy, and one more whose name is Damo! That cats name is hard to remember. It took me half an hour to remember that!  We stayed with them the whole day. Dinner was a fruit salad and bagels. When Tante Louise’s son, Ray, or we call him Little Ray because his father is Ray too. Sadly older ray passed away in 2016.  Back to the story! We were driving back to the Newark airport. When we got there we said our goodbyes and waited in lots of lines. Then we got on our plane to Lisbon. -- Cyrus
